Sr. Software Engineer (Vehicle)
Creative Mobile Technologies, LLC, a dominant player in the taxi dispatch, interactive mobile media and point of sale space, headquartered in Long Island City, New York, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer (Vehicle). This is a full time position based in Long Island City, NY.
The primary responsibility of this position involves design, development, testing and implementation of key in-vehicle systems.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, maintain and optimize existing in-vehicle software.
- Assist QA with the creation and implementation of automation testing and unit testing of in-vehicle software and devices.
- Work with top tier vehicle support specialists on understanding and troubleshooting priority field issues as necessary
- Provide and maintain up to date, thorough documentation for all responsible systems, processes and issues. Provide second and third tier support and written documentation for users and applications as needed.
- Recommend policy, procedure and process changes to firm’s decision makers. Research and evaluate new software, hardware and technological resources. Ensure the firm is up-to-date with current industry security, standards and practices.
- Customer focused and experience with supporting a wide range of customers.
- Strong analytical and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- 1-3 years database management experience preferred (writing basic queries, etc…).
- Background in a formal QA/Testing process a plus.
- Basic Java/.Net programming experience a plus.
- 4 year degree strongly preferred.
- Results oriented, product focused, and at ease in an environment requiring the ability to quickly and appropriately prioritize conflicting demands.
- High degree of initiative consistently demonstrated by the active ownership of complex problems through their successful resolution.
- Team player eager to work closely with, learn from and mentor others while continually improving self and team.
- Innately curious about new technologies and their practical application in a startup environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to pitch in and wear more than one hat in a dynamic organization.
- Authorized for full time employment in the United States.
